Interface 1:1 is the first in a series of architectural proposals for the Majorca Windows running from August through to November 2011. Each of the proposals is a reimagining of the Majorca building, a new facade that is produced at 1:1, and edited into the gallery space – only the segments of the proposed facade that coincide with the volume, area and location of the Majorca windows can be shown. The proposed Facade #1 extends the laneway of Centre Place and the interior of the Majorca Building’s foyer into each other, creating a space that belongs to both and to neither.
