The T and L shapes can be stand alone dwellings, cradle each other giving a courtyard, and “multiply and flip” to create medium density housing. The optional first floor bed/ensuite unit allows flexibility with bedroom numbers.
Orientation maximises solar gain and ventilation. Shade is provided by a mesh cage and deciduous foliage. The configuration adapts to different sites and orientations.
Prefabrication is environmentally sustainable, simple and effective. Strawbale provides natural insulation and sound protection in walls, and using folded galvanized steel sheet section, in the ceiling as well.
A grey water system and double glazing are standard integrated elements.
