A field of Possibilities

This project was a long term study for the sustainable development of a large, sensitive area of Land on the Great Ocean Road. An exhaustive analysis of the landscape was followed by ‘testing’ a suite of potential projects such as eco-tourism, a research centre, improved public walking infrastructures and remote accommodation.

The project involved the coordination of high level design values with a new planning framework, heritage issues trust management and rural management. The methodology was one of a hybrid design consultancy and university research project, with the engagment of stakeholders and authorities from an early stage.
