Old wine. New wine skin

The Moorilla Estate Tasmania’s oldest commercial winery is located on a small and picturesque peninsula on the banks of the Derwent River. Founded as a winery in the 1950s, Moorilla has since evolved into a throbbing cultural epicentre that draws visitors from around the globe to sample tasty wine, piquant food, and relaxed accommodation.
Soon, there will be another reason to visit: a new Museum of Old and New Art (MONA).
Moorilla’s four pavillions, each named after an Australian Modernist painter, are situated high above the banks of the Derwent Estuary. Designed by Brendan Jones from the firm, Antarctica, they are large and light with cantilevered balconies overlooking the water, this accommodation offers a luxurious combination of inner city comfort and coastal tranquility.
