From 2000 to 2002, Peter worked as an architect on the fitout and the shell of Transport Hotel at Federation Square, for other architects. Since 2002 Peter has directly assisted with the hotels multimedia system. He briefed and worked alongside Rutledge Engineering as the system developed, and maintains a role training staff and providing new screen content.
The thirteen LCD screens in the hotel can run many kinds of scheduled content, from plain images to digital television, to internet pages. The latter presented many challenges as web feeds need to be tailored in all sorts of ways to be appropriate to large screens in a pub.
The main installation on the lower floors was followed by the briefing and management of an iPod-controlled sound system for the newer upstairs lounge, Transit.
