ANTARCTICA is working with the Alpine Shire Council on the design of a new multi-purpose pavilion, fitting within the larger Bright Recreation Reserve masterplan. Design strategies were driven by the desire to restore the 100 year old historic grandstand to its former prominence and create a pavilion which compliments and enhances the function of the centre.
Working with community user groups and the council, ANTARCTICA has designed a dynamic built extension of the pavilion’s surrounding natural landscape. Improving public and sporting player circulation, the new multi-purpose pavilion is designed to be capable of hosting sporting events in addition to large community festivals and events.
The centre also adds new female and accessible change rooms, plus a new administration wing for the expanding Bright Recreation Reserve management staff team.
